whose wiki is it?
Claudia Koltzenburg
what is this wiki about?
this wiki is used for open review purposes and open research collaboration (see a related mindmapping project here, "What would science look like if it were invented today"), and for wiki-based working groups on technoscientific phenomena and other issues.
it may also be used - by anyone - for open tandem exchanges in language learning.
Wiki Language Tandems, so to speak. This is not about translating a phrase with the help of other users (this is done excellently by, e.g., http://www.leo.org) - rather, in this wiki space, you can test your ability to write actual sentences in a language you're currently learning.
see here: http://www.koltzenburg.net/aiki/SandyBoxy - it is a page open for all.
here you can share and contribute freely and anonymously. Your public tandem opportunity.

quote of the month
"perhaps in conjunction with a variety of different measurements, we could begin to formulate a better method of manuscript analysis to replace the flawed and inaccurate practice of equating impact factor or citation counts with scientific quality." (Noah Gray, 02 June 2008, http://network.nature.com/groups/citation-science/forum/topics/1667?page=1#reply-4565)
